Product Description
The Monstrum Raven Series scopes are fixed magnification prism scope optics - available in 1.5x and 3x. They offer similar functionality to red dot sights for rapid short range target acquisition, but use a glass prism optical system with etched glass reticle instead of the projected laser dots used in traditional red dot sights.
Why choose a prism scope over a red dot sight?
Sharper reticle than a red dot sight
Red dot reticles are projected using a laser reflecting against a plane of glass and can result in a starburst effect at higher brightness intensities. They can be notoriously blurry for shooters with astigmatism. Prism scope reticles are etched in glass, produces less distortion than a red dot, and are easier for the eye to focus on, especially for shooters with astigmatism.
Works with or without illumination
Red dot reticles require both a powered laser source and an on/off mechanism. This makes them susceptible to running out of battery power or to malfunction. The prism scope reticles are etched into the glass and remain visible with or without illumination.
Prism scopes can be offered with magnification
Red dot sights are by design 1x optics. Prism scopes can be offered in a range of magnifications depending on your shooting needs.
The picatinny base mounts to any standard picatinny mounting platform. The single piece machined aluminum body is built with fewer moving parts and less points of failure to hold zero against the fiercest of recoil
It offers five levels of illumination in both red and green powered by a single CR2032 battery (included with purchase).
All Monstrum products are covered by Monstrum’s lifetime warranty.

I specifically chose the Raven for it's durability and it's compact size . But even for it's size it's not a light red dot it has a surprising amount of weight to it .
I like it , it's clear and offers good eye relief of course depending on placement .
Definitely can't go wrong with this one
