From the manufacturer
Crossfire II 2-7x32 BDC (MOA) Riflescope (CF2-31003)
Specifically designed for discriminating hunters and shooters, the Crossfire II series of riflescopes offer the highest levels of performance and reliability. With long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses and resettable MOA turrets, there's no compromising on the Crossfire II. Clear, tough and bright. The hard anodized single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed for waterproof and fogproof performance.
Dual use for Shooting Tactical/Hunting
Dead-Hold BDC MOA Reticle
- Customized dot design helps eliminate guesswork on holdover and windage corrections. Good for hunting/shooting at varying ranges where estimating holdover is a concern.
- Second focal plane (SFP) reticles are located near the scope’s eyepiece behind the image erecting and magnifying lenses. This style of reticle does not visually change in size when you change the magnification. The advantage of an SFP reticle is that it always maintains the same appearance.
Product Description
Clear, tough and bright, our popular Crossfire II, 1-inch tube riflescopes are built for performance. Long eye relief, a fast-focus eyepiece, fully multi-coated lenses and improved, resettable MOA turrets are hallmarks of the series.

While I did not get the chance to use this scope, I did get it mounted. The eye relief was about 3.5 inches, was well built, and had great optics for a scope in this price range. I found the Dead-Hold reticle to be very usable. The magnification was more than enough for the type of use I would use it for, mainly whitetail. It was easy to adjust the magnifications and set the focus. It was not big and bulky like some scopes, and was lightweight enough for the light Winchester. I would definitely purchase this for other rifles.
I will not list all of the features this scope has--as that can be found in the product description--but I will attest to how those features are indeed functional, reliable, and combine to make an excellent scope. One of the first things I immediately noticed and appreciated was the generous eye-relief; being able to keep my head back on the cheek rest and away from the eye-piece makes for a much more comfortable shooting experience, especially when shooting a magnum caliber like the 300. Sighting in the scope was a breeze, and the elevation and windage turrets are very solid and well protected. Once you are dialed in for your desired range, it holds its zero, and if anybody is in doubt, it can at least handle the recoil of the 300 win mag. I hunt in the Pacific Northwest, which means a very moist, rainy, densely-vegetated environment where low-light conditions are common even in the middle of the day. The scope has never fogged up or been compromised by water/particulate matter. The clarity is always exceptional and the light transmission allowed by the 50mm objective makes everything brighter when looking through the scope even with poor lighting. What has most surprised me is how useful the illuminated reticle actually is. The illumination can be turned off, and has 10 or 11 levels of brightness, but all it is is a red dot in the center of the duplex. It is very low key, but having that red dot is very helpful when you potentially have to aim into a dark expanse of timber where the black duplex otherwise disappears against the backdrop.
The price of this scope was half of what my budget was at the time, but it easily contends with any other scope in the 300-400$ price range. I am not an optics loyalist by any means, but Vortex definitely trumps any of its competitors at this price point! I highly recommend this scope, not just if you are on a budget and need to save money, but if all you want is a solid and reliable scope with good glass for practical applications.

Preis , Leistung und Qualität wie rewartet top von Vortex.
Für Hobbyschützen klare Kaufempfehlung .
This scope feels sturdy, The reticle adjustment works to get a crisp view of the reticle and it's illuminated red dot at the reticle centre (not projected to target), this will be welcome as light levels fall, although it is a little less bright than I would have hoped.
Elevation & windage adjusters have a light/subtle touch without loud clicks. The image is bright and sharp at distances over 100mtr but lacking an adjustable objective lens or parallax adjustment leads to greater blurring as subject range gets closer, or when using higher magnifications; it may become more usable at close distances by using lowest magnification(3x), although this could lead to eye straining.
A similar scope with parallax adjustment would be considerably more expensive, Scopes can be adjusted by service centres to bring the minimum focus nearer "Re-Parallaxing" (probably a turn or two of the objective lens). I'll consider this but it may invalidate warranty, in which case I will return the item unused.
This review will be updated after checking if it can be adjusted to bring it within the working range of a CO2 rifle and after test firing.
April 2021- Still works well, helps to achieve tight groups and holds it's settings. Focus was brought closer by adjusting the objective lens with a suitable tool.
